I wanted to get some thoughts on this from a production/effectiveness standpoint. This pertains to both my current guys and the progression i'd look to do with future players.
My current 79's are looking for WL teams to no avail unfortunately. From my understanding, it likely comes from them having average to slight above average PV's and in turn base stats. However, especially in regards to my DE... he has been very productive in recent seasons, including against WL competition in scrims. He's currently 3rd in FF for his conference and would be 11th in the current MVP race with 3 mediocre teams upcoming for him to improve his chances. but i digress a bit.....
He has a lower PV (1265.9) but has proven effective in part to his load of SA's and running 4 AEQ. Similar can be said with my CB..... 4 AEQ and a 1291 PV. I know he could use a bit more speed at this point but as a cover corner he's produced very well. He has a solid Target/RecAlw/PD ratio which from comparing to a particular 1400PV corner; I beat him in production. My guy playing at national level and he was in Regional Pro.
With that explained..... in order to hit the high 1300's or even 1400+ at those positions, it appears the only viable option is likely to go with 3 AEQ or/and have less SA's. This goes back to the old AEQ question..... how much PV is a piece of %AEQ worth?? If you're able to gain a couple points in your top3 attributes.... is it worth losing 7.5-15% of an effective bonus? Is PV really that important... or is there just a specific attribute for positions ppl are wanting to see at 160+ and willing to sacrifice other minor useful attributes to have it?
How should I and others still looking to get their players in WL adjust to make our players more desirable for that level of team? Thanks for any and all legit responses.
