I made a free player mid way through the season and though he is on a team for the season and racking up game experience should I retire and remake him at the end of the season so that his age is in line with the league caps? And if so what day should I redo him on.

And also he should be lv 8 with 250 experience short of being lv 9 at the end of the season I think.

yes. you always want to make players between days 40 and 48 to maximize their end build. and to make sure that you have an easy time finding teams.

He doesn't want to boost if he is retiring them.

He said he wants to remake him at the end of the season. So when he makes him, he should boost him before we go into next season to maximise his players potential.

It's a free player... If he has boosts for him this season, might as well use them until you retire.. you don't lose anything. So it doesn't matter...

I'm going to disagree with most and say if you are having fun with your player... keep him for another season until you either want to try something new or just build differently.

Its a game. Have fun.

I'll even add to this (and I agree with Myd). Building a dot for one season only gives you one season's worth of insight into how to build and why doing some things work and others don't. The longer you run with the build, the more you'll see where mistakes might've been made. Easy enough to locate dots of similar levels and position (and archetype) whose builds are open... and compare side-by-side your dot to theirs. It's how I learned when I first started... that and finding folks who would answer the stupid build questions I kept asking.
Only thing I WOULD add is, don't buy SEQ for your dot as it isn't free and you will lose flex when you finally recycle your dot. Also, if you find a team that want's you to build a new dot next season, go for it. recycle and enjoy yourself.
