Perhaps moving it back a yard or two and allowing users control over offensive and defensive play calling is the answer.

While that gets away from the rules of professional football, a 4 yard 2-point conversion would be fair IMO. You want 2-point conversions to be successful less than 50% of the time so teams only go for it when they really need to. And just make it AI inputs for offense & defense, giving us full control. Would be interesting.

Who cares if it gets away from the rules of professional football? A run up the middle is almost a guaranteed 2 yards. Also, 2 point conversions need to around 20-30% success rate, possibly lower. If it's 40-50, why wouldn't you go for it? You'd just make the 1 point up the next time you go for the 2 point conversion.

Put it this way, if you were 4th & 4 and has full access to all your plays, what % of the time would you pick up the 1st? That's why I like a 4-yard 2-point conversion, I see that only being successful about 25%-33% of the time. 3 Yards would be more like 50% and 5 yards basically takes running out of the picture.

Yeah...4 yards is good, never said it wasn't. I just said it would have to work sorta like the NFL average (I think it's 26%). If the NFL avg. is not 26%, it still needs to be around 26%.
