I set my tactics for TE to pass block left 50% and pass block right 50%. TE is still going out for passes. Why?

even if that's the basic AI...double check your OAI...make sure in every specific play the TE is set for pass blocking as his default action...at least that's what I think the problem might be.

But if all the plays say for the TE to follow basic settings... isnt that the same?

No, basic settings would be run the play as usual. You need to go into the AI and set the TE to pass block every play that you want.

Incorrect. The AI will run off his basic settings in his generic tactics page which is why you have to manually set it to "run route or block" if you want to bypass the basic settings.

This. You won't be able to hold back a primary receiver.
