DEFENSIVE AI'S

So I was working on the AI's as usual again today. Making some new plays etc.

I was going to add a 2WR 3rd and 8+ section into my AI's.. but I got to thinking..

If I set an input to # of WR's at 2 and 2.. Would that trigger Big I as well?

Before Big I came out, that would be a way to catch all formations that are 2 WR. But now, if it also includes Big I, then I've gotta have a little querk in my plays to make sure if there is a BTE present that I do indeed cover him.

Just wondering if anyone has proven this to work one way or the other.

Thanks in advance!

There's only 1 WR in Big I.

I think you are thinking about SB Big, and yes, 2WR would trigger SB Big.

Yep, that was what I meant. Alright.

So they need to allow you to select # of TE's in that area next to # of WR's..

My DAI inputs are by formations. Works much better than having generic inputs.

Why not create Custom D plays for every formation?

Create it, and have it trigger when it faces X formation

Any I also triggers for Big I - that's what happened in the Chuck vs Doofies game

and big I is 1 WR

TE sets are for goalline or others based on # of TE's in your DC

2 WR to 2WR only triggers for...yup 2WR...

I think this is misleading. If you have an "ANY I" defense above your Big I defense, it'll trigger for Big I as well... BIG I is considered an ANY I. I often have tagged custom plays where say I tag a scatback and then my play will apply for I PRO, Weak and Strong so I'll just have an ANY I input for that tag... if this tag is above the Big I and scatback is in the Big I...the ANY I defense will trigger just because the Big I is considered an I formation.

I use per formation. I just wasn't wanting to go in and add special circumstances for them. Was hoping to get a couple catch-all type inputs in there..

catch all is tough if you're tagging, i can't see how its possible. I'm not all that bright either. I have my custom plays for each formation but above those, I have the tagged plays, Power, Scat, etc. If there aren't any tags, then the "catch alls" will proc. That's how I do it anyway

You can still do what you want.

Just have an input(s) for SB Big - that specify that formation - above the 2WR inputs. Just make sure you have a SB Big for all possible situations. A catch all net under all the SB Big that just says SB big and nothing else would be a good idea to avoid getting a 2WR against it.

And then an OC that even half assed scouts will completely shred that defense.
