Having your ELs decently above Actuals during the build process (i find the jump differential generally happens in the 35-42 level ranges if im building the way i think is right, then again in 60-65 range) is a great indicator of efficiency.
To me efficiency indicators mean potential higher ceiling for higher output, more flexibility to last minute round out well a build's secondary atts, more future marketability, and some unrealistic epeen pride.
Some good advice in this thread...Should stay on track with it imo.
Yeah you're probably right about that. A major factor could be the teams usage of the player too. The player I posted was actually the first one that I've ever had that had a lower EL than his actual level. (again, it was an experimental build on my free player which is the only reason I did an experimental build, I'm too cheap to do that with flex) I've had players with what I thought to be good success, and players that struggle. The guy I posted had both good success and struggled vs players with much much higher ELs. Some were even the same players that he did good and struggled vs. I think it was because of how the players were used much more than their ELs. Which is another reason why I dont buy into how much weight people put into the ELs.
Here is the player I posted, in man coverage. At the time he was EL 59 and the WR he was covering was EL 74.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2062038&pbp_id=987297That was also 117 speed vs 138 speed at the time of that play.
You would think in 1 on 1 man coverage that the EL 15 levels higher would win every time. But that wasnt the case. Which is why I question the entire weight that ELs hold and question what exactly factors into ELs. I thought it was purely SP spent in attributes, but its not since my guy had 100% of his SPs spent in attributes.
