Seriously Alky if you could tone down the childish cussing and dropping the fbomb all the time people would possibly take your side of arguments a little more serious. But a lot of times when you post I do not even try to understand your logic. Simply because if you cannot argue a point on a game without cussing like a sailor then no one will take you serious. But I will agree there is a difference in a bad suggestion and a suggestion no one will use. This is a bad suggestion though for 1 simple reason. It would allow agents a bailout. Basically this suggestion would say to all of GLB so what if you do not try to plan anything out. So what if you are to lazy to take a couple minutes to do some simple math. GLB will allow you to screw up and they will code something to cover up for your stupidity. And that is basically what this suggestion is about. People have told yello1 how to not make mistakes on the topic. Yet he still wants GLB to save him from his own screwups.

I do cuss alot. I had to go back and read it just now to see where. Ill try to fix that up.

I wasn't griping friend seriously I was just pointing out that when you do that some people get a mental picture of you in their head and they will not even try to see your side of the argument. personally I try to actually read what people post and try to understand their perspective. (yes even Yello1's suggestions get read and I do try to understand his thought process) but at times it is hard to get someones point when it is basically just a tirade of cussing.

this is the lead post from my addendum to this thread

Not to steal Yello's thunder on this..some people will only look at the original OP and not any improvements...pretty narrow minded, but hey are we really surprised?

Okay here goes...If an agent wants to retire his dot from a non-playoff team prior to day 41:

Step 1: The agent selects the retirement option.
Step 1.5: Agent selects "retire from team with owner approval" checkbox
Step 2: A notification is sent to that team owner letting them know that this player wants to retire.
Step 3A: The owner agrees, and the funds are taken from the team money to pay the remainder of the season's wages.
Step 3B: The owner disagrees, and the player remains with the team as the team is still in the GLB tournament, or is in other tournaments, or is running scrimmages to test out AIs
Step 4: The players is immediately put in retirement. This keeps there from being any chance of that player not actually retiring and trying to sign with another team.
Step 5: A signing freeze for the team that allowed the dot to retire goes in place to prevent them from using this as a method to recruit early (although free agent dots would likely not be good, but if someone sold a team there could be decent dots available)

If there are holes here I don't see them, but if you do please state them because I am sure it could be tweaked to cover any.

Addendum to all this is if the owner selects the retirement option, and there are no games left on the team's schedule, the dot does not need owner approval, but salary and signing freeze still apply (salary would apply if this happened on day 39).

Now, as you can see, this is not as simple as it is being made out to be, so I anticipate more negative responses than positive

of course, if you needed 400 FP to renew a team all you have to do is sell of the CE for 630 FP and none of this is needed either

Has nothing to do with support, which is pretty nice.

Has to do with a better user interface and player experience.

You should not have to call Ford support to open the trunk of your car. Its a part of the car its controls should be in the car.

If we want people to be able to pay for their teams by retiring this seasons players, then the means to do so should be "in the car" as part of the normal user interface. Otherwise its clunky slow and many players will not even know the option is available.

And I submit we DO want people to be able to pay for their teams by retiring this seasons players if they so choose - after the end of their teams season.

if the owner says no then u have to contact support anyway so y not just contact support as soon as ur season ends? seems like a waste of coding time.

i think u misunderstood me. support doesnt code bort does. what i mean is bort would be wasting time coding this when he should be focusing on in game play mechanics.

For all the Yello suggestions where he's trying to make it easier to get players on teams, I never thought I'd see the day when he'd want to make it easier for players to leave his teams.
