I just don't have a lot of faith in the predictions of an Excel spreadsheet. I'm sure it's reasonably accurate, but there's no way everything can be factored in.

Using past performance to predict future performance can only work if nothing ever changes.

completely agreed...and past performance usually isn't that good of an indicator in dynamic situations. It can be a nice guideline, but it should be used with caution.

I think it all depends on what the model takes into account. I haven't looked at the excel sheet, but since this is a sim game one should be able to model an outcome relatively accurately using VBA in excel or some other methods. But I understand how your faith in a spreadsheet could be low.

My bad up there! I hope you guys are right on the narrow Detroit victory. We just hired Matt Millan as our director of recruiting. So we have that going for us. LOL
