Putting points into his SAs so soon was not wise. I think at this point your WR is not terribly competitive. You can do much better. If you want to play out his career you could probably make him a little prettier. But he is not going to be top shelf no matter what you do now.
Whether you reboot now or later, though, you should start with a build plan that works because the early seasons are a big part of the dots build success.
The key is to get to multitrain and not spend SPs until you can hit the soft caps and to hit a soft cap before you level whenever possible.
A "soft cap" is when the cost of buying another point of skill goes up.
This happens at 48 where the cost for a point goes from one Skill Point to two Skill Points, then again at 61 (2-3) and then at 68 (3-4) and so on and so forth as detailed here
http://goallineblitz.com/game/faq.pl?cat=Player%20Leveling#154Because of the Automatic Level Gain (ALG) system where you get so many points added every time you level, it is best to get to a soft cap as quickly as you can, because every point added by ALG when you level therefore is more efficient, ie if it adds a point that costs you two to buy normally that is better than it being just a one point skill.
Caps and ALG etc are discussed here
http://wiki.goallineblitz.com/index.php/Leveling#Value_of_Attribute_Increases_.28Rounded_to_the_Hundredth_Decimal_Place.29And because of the nature of the game, its best to have your key skills and attributes as high as possible, like strength on a center or guard, or speed on a safety or speed wide receiver or speed cornerback etc. These would be your most important attributes for most positions speed or strength. So these are the ones you want to soft cap first and then get them to the next soft cap as quickly as you can and so on.
But due to the training system being better on lower skills and attribute numbers, you want to train them as much as you can before raising them with skill points.
So the way it works is you do not spend any skill points when you start the player, except the 25 when you are actually creating it that you have to spend or lose. The 15 you start out with after creation should be saved. You then train until you are ready to boost. Then you spend your SPs on just your most important getting it to the highest possible soft cap but no higher, holding SPs that are left over till later. Train until you can get enough Skill Points to get it to the next soft cap then wait till right before leveling and spend the SPs to get to the next soft cap. Repeat this until your most important is at 83 or 85 or so. Then start working on your next most important attribute or skill (blocking or agility or strength or tackling depending on the position). This one you should raise till it is 81 or maybe 83, sometimes less, depending on the position. Then you would do your third one to 68 or 77 or so. At some positions some people may bring the third attribute to the 48 soft cap earlier and then go back to getting the secondary one topped out. Opinions vary.
It is important that your most important attribute also be an actual primary attribute, one that gets the most ALG points as opposed to a secondary one (the primary are gold and the secondary are blue in the skill spending window). Your second most important attribute should usually be a primary as well. Your third most important skill sometimes can be a secondary, such as strength on a pass blocking offensive tackle.
Another important thing to do is to multitrain, as soon as you can in four skills. Then its important to upgrade two or three of these skills to speed their training. You should then multi train until you need to switch to light training to have enough bonus tokens for 3 to 4 Advanced Equipment pieces that are fully upgraded when you hit plateau. This can be in your 40 to 50s levels depending on if you shop in the store and get lucky or not.
The best thing to do is to play around with the virtual player builder script. You need to use Firefox browser and then the Greasemonkey Add on, and then download the script. All free. It lets you do a mock build of a dot to test out methods and learn what you want to do with your build.
Firefox download is out there, see google. Mozilla is the company that makes it. Nice browser. I think google chrome is supported by some scripts too but do not use it.
Greasemonkey download is here (mozilla site link to firefox may be on this page)
