this, sacks only happen on plays where the team is attempting to pass so it should count as negative passing yardage.

Id rather have my passing QB's rushing stats be hurt than his passing stats.

Sacks are runs, are they not?
How else would football tabulate the negative yardage, a negative pass?

Until the QB throws the ball, he is a running back.

Sacks (in the NFL) are NOT runs until the QB crosses the LOS. Does this mean if Mick Vick get's tackled (behind the LOS) during a draw play that his passing takes a hit? No. A sack ONLY occurs when the QB ATTEMPTS to pass (shows a passing motion or an inclination to throw a pass). If the QB runs BY DESIGN (and yes, they DO keep track of it), then it's listed against his rushing yardage.
This would be infinitely even easier in GLB because the plays are LISTED as to what their intents are (no guesswork). If a passing play is called and your QB attempts to scramble and is tackled behind the line... it's a sack (same as NFL). If your QB runs a QB draw and gets toasted behind the line, it's a tackle for negative yardage. Easy Peasy.
And to answer your question, passes completed behind the LOS and subsequently tackled behind the same LOS, are negative passing/receiving yards as well (we have this already... no need to change).
