i figure vision must govern whether or not the defender is faked, but does the offensive guy need anything to make it fire/help make it fire? agility? confidence?

Just a guess but I think agility helps a lot, because you can go creative route running and the description in creative route running eludes to using fakes to get separation , and I seem to remember agility at a certain number before considering using creative route running.

Don't take my word for it, definitely wait for the more knowledgable to chime in. I am just guessing based off my crappy memory

My guess is that's a stand-alone SA like Pump Fake that isn't affected by offensive attributes, although defensive attributes will presumably affect whether or not it was successful, but I am just guessing.

I have been *told* the only thing that helps it from the O side ... is Fake % gear, but haven't had a chance to test it - so take it with a grain of salt.

And what jdbolick said ^^^ , I noticed the dots with poor vision on D getting torn up by it last season (duh), probably the #1 factor in seeing a successful one, is badly built D dots failing rolls.

My dots routinely have 70 to 75 vision and the DBs more like 90. They fall for fakes all the time.

What I also have but not always is avoid fake %. I would presume that helps the ones that have it but have not studied it.
