Add another dimension to the DL with stunts where the DE and DT cross and the DTs cross. In 3/4 you would do Stunt Left with the LDE and NT and Stunt Right with the RDE and NT. In a 4/3 you would add the option of stunting both Left & Right or the DTs could cross.
Add direction to the DL with Left, Straight and Right instead of just lining up in spots and going straight. So you would still have the set spots with weak, strong, bunch and spread but add another layer so out of the weak you could push back to the left, right or straight.
This would all be done in drop downs much like the way the DL formations are done now.
I think that could make it more interesting on both sides of the ball.

I dunno... I can almost smell the bug posts, in the forum, brewing. Not to mention the collective complaints from OC's about needing a similar help for blitz pickup assignments and such, and DC's complaining about bad pathing routes and stupid dot moves and special vision checks and... "AUGH!!!"
