The biggest argument for that would be it would allow for the chance that the other team could block the extra point and return it for a TD... which would either end when the other team kicks the PAT... or it too gets blocked extending the OT... or the blocked PAT gets returned for a TD where..... (Sings) "Let's do the time warp again!!!"


Otherwise it's just a frivolous, and needless, thing.

what? in the NFL you can't return a missed PAT.

and even if you could (like in college) its only worth 2 points anyway.
