I go to tactics at the top of my page, then just go over to packages, and update the plays. If i use the same package for more than one team, do i have to go into the team's AI and re add the package or does it update automatically?

Updates automatically. So long as you've set the Default AI on each team as the AI under the "My AI's" tab.

okay as long as i use the AIs with the packages in the tactics calendar that are under "my AI" and not "team AI" it will work?

The package will update automatically on all AIs you use it on.
