Obvious answer is Day 280.

But I have dots who stopped getting it at level 73, well before Day 280 and others are saying 76 and I'm saying no, I have a lvl. 73 SS who stopped getting it long b/f S29 ended. He is 268 days old. This is p damn confusing and really fucking annoying. Anyone? HALP?

There are two criteria for when XP ends. One is by age (280 is the last day you can gain XP in any situation). The other is based on how many boosts you have used on a player.

For all players created since APD was instituted, this will occur somewhere around level 67, which is somewhere near the end of season 6 or maybe early season 7 depending how you boost for your career.

For older players (most are beyond this point so it's nearing the point of not worth mentioning anymore) they would have had more boosts in than APD players by now so they would continue gaining XP until higher levels.

The boost/level chart is what affects when XP stops for APD players:

30 boosts - Level 79
29 boosts - Level 78
28 boosts - Level 77
27 boosts - Level 76
26 boosts - Level 75
25 boosts - Level 74
24 boosts - Level 73
23 boosts - Level 72
22 boosts - Level 71
21 boosts - Level 70
20 boosts - Level 69
19 boosts - Level 68
18 boosts - Level 67
17 boosts - Level 66
16 boosts - Level 65
15 boosts - Level 64
14 boosts - Level 63
13 boosts - Level 62
12 boosts - Level 61
11 boosts and under - Level 60

18 boosts gets you to level 67 (which would be where you get at the very last day of season 6 if you boost on day 41+ each season) and then you can boost to 70, and then the next season you get 3 more, and then you get the last 6 when you hit plateau.

This does not look correct. It should happen at level 70, not 67. You then boost 3 times to 73, then 3 times in the preseason to 76 and 3 times in the plateau to 79, assuming one boosted from 1 to 4 in season 0 as they should.

Take a look here, and see if i calculated something wrong

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoODEuYeUBrBdHlPbUp2VmkxLWVtYmJIakk2ZEdtSXc#gid=0

I made this back when APD came out, it's possible i made an error but it looked correct. Again this is on the assumption of all day 41+ boosts so it will likely not match up exactly with how people really level up (boosting early in second and third seasons for example)

In season 6 if you hit 67 on day 40, you will be at 18 boosts and at cap. If you boost on day 41 you will be 70 with 21 boosts.

Again, this changes of course if you are 66 at the end of S6 since you then get to take 3 boosts that season to 69 and then next season you get to reach level 70 before XP stops in the first few days.

I can see where it's going wrong actually. Most people boost from 22 to 25 in season 2 so they start gaining VP earlier. Your calclations have that boost at the end of the season from 29>32. Some people also boost from 32>35 for vxp again instead of waiting till the end of the season. Boosting earlier leads to loss of xp, but there's plenty of time to make that up later on anyway. My d240 old dots are only level 68 and have boosted 21 times, so they will keep gettting XP till level 70.

The spreadsheet is not incorrect though. You are stating that many people boost early some season, which i mentioned in my second post. My spreadsheet is, again as i noted, based on an assumption of day 41+ boosting just to get a baseline of how it can work. XP stops at the same general time, whether you hit 67 in S6 or 70 in S7, you will have used the same number of boosts and hit the wall at essentially the same time, just not on the same day.

So to clarify, 67 in S6 (boosting to 70 day 41 and then 73 in S7) or reaching level 70 in early S7 and boosting 3 times to 73 is essentially the same end result.

The math catch or whoever designed APD probably used the boost at the end of the season model as the basis for how things would work since if you notice the math works out pretty smoothly with even XP ending every season.

Indeed, your spreadsheet is correct, but stating that most people will hit the "xp wall" at 67 isn't It's much more likely going to be at level 70-73 like Hagalaz posted.

what did you think they would reach when you did not boost them?

additionally, at day 280 they will decline right away

apologies to the OP for hijacking this thread, but on a related note, does a dot ever stop getting training points? it was my understanding that you have TPs forever, but someone is telling me no.

day 281 you stop getting TPs. Plateau you get nothing, you just watch your dot for 3 seasons, then our build starts declining.
