Glad I joined, GLB looks like fun. I have some questions: do I earn flex points by playing in games? If not, do I have to buy them?
There are no games scheduled as of now, is that because I've yet to sign with a team?

You can earn flex points by getting referrals from other people joining using your referral link. Otherwise, you have to buy them.

We are in the middle of the offseason. The game has 32 day regular season, 8 day playoffs, then 8 to 9 day offseason (for teams to recruit and changes to the game to be uploaded), then 9 day preseason. Preseason games will start in a couple of days. However, you do need to be on a team to play a game.

You will want to retire that player you made though. Do not put points into SAs until the end of your career. Focus on ONE stat first...put all your points into that stat. For a pass rush DE like you have you want all into Speed or Agility. Then start reading the forums about how to build.

You get 1 free player at a time. (once you retire that one, you get another.)

There are a lot of guides, but ask a lot of questions.

I would plan to build a player for 1 season and know ahead of time it is just for 1 season and just learn and experiment and ask questions and read and prepare to start new the following season with a new dot.

There are many who choose not to go this route, but I would suggest finding a PeeWee team that is needing dots, contact the owner and ask if you can make him a dot. Let him know it's your first ever. Most good owners will bend over backwards to help you out... give you build advice, equipment advice, training advice. Plus it will give you time to read the various wiki's you'll need about builds and such... and time to get to know some quality people who will help you not only now, but many seasons into the game. There's a lot of great people here that wish so much we had more and more new people in the game so I suspect your experience will be a good one. I wish you luck and enjoyment.

I can name a team right now that could help you.

Gerr and LordEvil's Pee Wee Gold Team Chicago Window Licking Bears. I am on this team myself. Gerr and LordEvil (LE) are two of the best Pee Wee owners in the game. Most of the Pee Wee Gold teams are full of solid agents, so getting onto any one of them, would be beneficial.
