Admin doesn't have to approve the initial name, why should there be a wait to approve the new name?

Just make the rename function work identically to the initial name function (check for duplicates, vulgarity, etc.) and you don't need to waste precious Admin time doing menial tasks like approving name changes.

It takes 8 or more days to get a name change approves because it is so low priority... so why make an Admin handle it at all?

If there are reasons, I would like to hear them. DB has some knowledge of some of the inner workings, but obviously until I hear one, I remain .

not if you can only change the name once every X days/seasons

just remove admins and mods. not like they do their job right anyways.

If the name would be allowed on player creation, then why wouldn't you be able to change your name to that?

Also, Dharma is dead. 8-Bit NES Heroes will be the new Dharma.

why have player name changes at all? if you want a different name, build a new dot

+1 to team name changes, makes sense not to bother admins with it, although I've never had any issues with getting support to change one and not sure if this is a really a problem.

any admins want to chime in? is there a huge backlog of name changes y'all have to work through? would admins support this change? are admins allowed to post for or against a suggestion that effects them?
