Hey everyone, I am building my first TE because it looks more interesting than going WR but still getting some interesting stats if I get lucky.

I only have no idea where to start when building the guy, I got the greasemonkey script for builds but I don't know what Archetype to take and also what custom ability to go with.

Tips would be awesome, I myself was thinking with going with either receiver or power receiver because I want him to be an offensive help.

Decide right now if you want him to be a receiving TE or blocker?

If a receiver than do you want him to be a possession receiver or a lightening fast TE who can stretch the field and take advantage of a LB covering him one on one?

No sense in going further til I know that much.

Well I am going with a receiver for sure. So speedy receiver is the (only) way to go when building catching TE's?

Most go with either a Speed type, or a Possession type.

You want to be really good at one thing rather than average at a few different things. Of course that's debatable but I think you would be much happier going all out on your build with one goal in mind.

Personally I would select receiver archtype and pick First Step as your bonus SA.

Here is my receiving TE I just built 2 days ago: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4314725

To get you started on how to build (2 ways of doing it.....both successful ways)

Basic build plan for any .5 ALG dot
If going strength first then pick one pound below the maximum. If picking speed first then pick one pound above the minimum. Enhance the first attribute to 10%, train intense three times, enhance to 20%, then train intense until you have a nearly full bar at 32.9x. Convert 15 bonus tokens to a skill point and cap to 48.9x. Then boost. Next season you'll enhance to 30% and normal train, then second cap, then continue normal training, then third cap. At that point you'll unlock and enhance your attributes for multi-training.

This should get you through S1

- enhance 1st Attribute10%
- Train Intense 3 times
- Enhance 1st Attribute 20%
- Intense train 1st Attribute until day 48, Cap 1st attribute
- Then boost 3 times also on day 48
- Continue to Intense train 1st attribute
- Enhance 1st attribute 30%
- After you hit level 5, and before you hit level 6, 2nd cap 1st Attribute at 61.4.
- At level 8 and before hitting level 9, 3rd cap 1st Attribute at 68.9.
- Buy 2nd Attribute and 3rd Attribute for multi-training. Then enhance both to 30%. If you can't get both there right away make sure 2nd Attribute is 30%, and then get 3rd Attribute there when you can.
- At level 10 cap 1st Attribute at 73.9. (You may want to stop training while at 69.9 with a high training % rather than rolling over to 70.9 and having to cap at a low %.
- At level 12 cap 1st attribute at 77.9
- On day 39 cap 1st attribute at 81.4. While at level 15.
- On or before D48 cap 1st attribute at 83.9 at level 16.
- Boost 3 times before season ends

Ok I am not an expert at this game as some people are. What is meant with ''enhance 1st by 10%?

I am pretty sure I get the most, not spend the SP's till 48 next season and then boost. But the percentage thing I am flustered.

EDIT: nevermind, I get it now.

When you click on your bonus tokens it will bring up a screen where you choose to do 2 different things:

1) Enhance training: This allows you to raise the percentage of your training. To raise it 10% it costs 6 tokens, to raise it another 10% (total of 20% now) it costs 12 tokens, and to raise it another 10% (30% total now) it costs 18 tokens.

2) Unlock attributes to allow for multi training.

You will spend your skill points on day 48 of THIS season. Follow that guide and that will put your main attribute at 33 on day 48. You have 15 skill points saved still. You apply those 15 skill points bringing your main attribute to 48. However...you can actually take it to 49 and it still only cost 1 skill point so it is worth it to spend 15 tokens to buy 1 skill point and allow you to cap it at 49.

Do you want to be a reliable target, a target that has low completion rates/long gains, or a target that makes the first guy miss?

Strength, catching, jumping, and agility are good for the first.
Speed, agility, carrying, and catching are good for the second.
Carrying, catching, strength, and agility are good for the third.

Speed is required for all of them, but will be the most important thing to maximize for the second type. Take a quick cut, first step, catch fake, or catch in stride.
Making Spin your bonus is good for the third build.
Taking anything to help you catch and hold onto the ball is good for the first.
