This is a two suggestion post. I am not sure if these have been suggested before, but here we go.
#1) I have owned teams before and found free agency the most difficult in terms of team management because if I had a need I didn't want to over sign and get screwed. Naturally, if you need 2 WR's you are going to offer more than two because chances are you aren't going to sign both you offered.
Now if you offer multiple players to fill a couple spots and end up over signing players for a position; you should be able to cut/release the guy(s) you don't want. That means if you sign 3 QBs and only needed one; you choose the one to keep and cut the two you no longer need with no penalty to the team. This would allow the other players to find another team instead of being buried on the depth chart and we can't all sit online all day to monitor signings.
#2) I don't know if it's possible already, but if we don't have a 'free' player being used, we should be able to make one of our current players that were not free into a free player. If I have 3 players and one of them is a free guy... I retire the free guy leaving me with two players who were never the free guy, it allows me to change either of them into a free player so I don't have to pay to boost him anymore. This would benefit the high level guys the most so they don't have to continue to pay to boost while their guy is on the decline.
Hopefully this makes sense to you all and if these have been suggested or are already an option to do, please let me know!
