It looks like team's proper standings is beginning to sort itself out, a few minor changes but the overall top 10 stays the same.
Rank - Team name - Standings - Synopsis - Change
1. Austin Lumberjacks (8-1) – Well playing Out of State means that a team in the East pretty well has a free victory, but scoring over 100 over a team that is being rebuilt finally… impressive. Props to Egon for taking on the tough rebuilding task, but the Lumberjacks got the stat building experience. (0)
2. Miami Canes (8-1) – Canes took care of business against the San Vasbarba J-Hawks, but won in a way that still leaves a few questions. 7 field goals by Morten Andersen makes the score look more lopsided than it should be. Defense was solid, allowing under 100 yards but are still glad to be done with hard part of schedule. (0)
3. San Marcos Rivermen (7-2) – Rivermen offense exploded for nearly 450 yards and played an excellent game top to bottom. Jay Faison exploded for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns after totaling just 350 yards in the first half of the season. One more game til the giant showdown with the Golden Kangaroos. (0)
4. Las Vegas Legends (8-1) – The Legends took care of Colorado Springs on every level. The offense went off for almost 450 yards and would bend but not break, allowing almost 250 yards but no touchdowns. Mad Dawgs have even or better rankings in everything but kicking, yet the Legends have the better record, big game upcoming. (+1)
5. N.H. Hounds (7-2) – The Hounds finally got back in the win column against AP, although not in very convincing manner. Nearly half of the incomplete passes by the Hounds were interceptions, and that needs to change immediately. They face the J-Hawks next and it could be a tougher matchup than it seems. (+1)
6. Raving Mad Dawgs (7-2) – Tough loss for the Mad Dawgs, failing to convert in the red zone in the first quarter, setting the stage for a lack of offense. Teabaggers haven’t been bad, but this is still a bad loss for the team. A quick chance to get it all back against the Legends is the next game, time to get the offense back. (-2)
7. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos (7-2) –Rolled through the Peckerheads and have the Soldiers next which should be another winning game for the Roos. All of this just will lead to possibly the biggest Eastern Conference game remaining as the Roos take on the Rivermen in a matchup of likely 8-2 teams. (+1)
8. Key Largo Barracudas (7-2) – Well who knew that this team would be jumping up towards the top of the standings? I certainly didn’t think it was happening. The Barracudas suffered from a case of fumblitis, losing the ball 4 times but recovering all but one. Key Largo could win another 4 games in a row at this point. (+1)
9. Anchorage Maulers (6-3) – Took down the Resurrection in a huge game for the Maulers, and this next game will be a stats booster as they face Out of State. Steven Marshall made the difference, going 4-for-4 from 40-49 yards, missing just once when it was over 50 yards. Maulers could be set for the rest of this regular season. (+1)
10. Phoenix Resurrection (6-3) –Resurrection just hit the magic 3 game losing streak, but they finally get a break facing the Cougars. Unable to score from 1st and goal late in the 4th ended the game. This is how Phoenix can help themselves with a big win to move morale and self confidence back up. (-3)
