I plan to return to GLB next season and create my first slow build player, a halfback. What is the best way to go about doing this? My plan as of now is load only speed with just the points that are mandatory (preparing for Rookie) So I will assign 21 points at the begging of the season so that I will have 25 speed and like 15 agility, from there I will intensely train speed for the whole season. I will still be collecting SPs and by the end of the season I should have 100 free SPs that I will load completely into speed on the day of our first playoff game and I expect to end the season with 90-95 Natural Speed. Next season I will save Save SPs in the same fashion but multi-train speed, agility, vision and strength. Using CE the whole way through.

That does not sound good

Hate typing from my phone, but I will attempt to give you some better advice

Create your player on day 40-47. Enhance speed 1star. Normal train speed once, then intense train speed until you have 12 BT's. Once that is reached, enhance speed training to 2stars. Continue intense training speed. On day 47, apply all SP you have to speed. Boost ONCE. Get speed to the 1st cap usin SP (get it to 48.1+)

Boost the other 2 times, don't spend SP's.

Continue intense training speed until you have 18 BT's. When that is reached enhance speed training to 3 stars. Keep intense training speed until you have enough BT's to unlock 3 attributes for multi training.

Do NOT save your SP's for all of rookie season. Whenever you have enough SP's banked to raise speed to the next cap, do it and continue to do so until it reaches the 7th cap(minimum) or even the 8th cap.

Training is much more valuable after you reach and exceed the caps.

How long did that take to type all that from a phone? It must have been annoying!

If you get speed to 48 with just training at the end of next season and have 100SP you only would get your natural speed to about 80... Its cheaper to use the SP early than in the later caps. Better to let the ALG:s and "some training" do the later points

You really want to get your main attributes as high as possible by level 21

Most people have different methods of doing it. There is no single consensus.

However...

You better believe we all top off our main attribute by the end of the first season, and what I mean by that is, we allow it to coast up to our end target on ALGs afterward. It saves a lot of SP.

The training always saves SP, but until around season 5 or so - or until after 8-cap, depending on where you are in the build - it is always cheaper and quicker to use spend SP to raise attributes. So you want to spend SP while costs are cheap and while using training to get a few free points along the way. Around season 5, level ups slow down so much that training alone becomes as quick, if not quicker, at gaining points....but it takes a long time.

Still, those are SP saved which can be spent elsewhere. You only get 440 SP before extended plateau. Yet, GLB's "player value" converts the build into an SP equivalent. So, the higher that number, the more wisely the agent spent SP during the build. So, if we say our dot has a player value of 1300, that's 1300 SP....but we only had 440 SP to spend. We "created" 860 SP by managing training and ALGs wisely enough to increase their SP value significantly. That's the real trick to dot building.
