The report button actually has very little to do with keeping the forums running smoothly. 99 out of 100 times it's just a device used to exact revenge on users by users. There are some really terrible things that go unseen because no one reported it while quite a few meh posts draw mods attention for the simple fact it was reported.

Political Bigotry
Religious Bigotry ---this one would clear the field in GD every 10 minutes

Being Douchey----tbd by the moderator banning a person




these categories would be more appropriate actually

1 - I am a child and am reporting someone to garner attention to myself
2 - I am a moron that cannot generate a witty insult back to someone so my only recourse is to report them
3 - I am a mod wannabee and feel that using the report button will get me in good with mods / admins in hopes of someday validating my existence by becoming a GLB moderator
4 - I am a troll and have nothing better to do than report people to stir shit up

Honestly the option you choose doesn't really matter. While they do get put in a queue with the reason listed, a mod is never going to be like "wrong category" and mark it as "frivolous".
