You know, +1 because there is that small issue with being older/younger than a teams average dot that ends up detracting from the player. Yes, the end build would end up similar level, but you would be at a disadvantage of varying levels depending upon when the player is built.

Incidentally, I think there really should be a 2nd option geared at 'New Players' only. Basically a D-league only player with a end of season reset to Level 1. From there, that player would be eligible for a standard team and built normally.
