with the age based leagues, no limit of the amount of teams available to be bought, and many unpopular changes made over time, GLB is in trouble. i started playing in season 9 and was a HUGE fan for a long time. the first major blunder was switching to age based leagues. this totally alienated a huge portion of plaers who left the site. anyone who didnt want to spend tons of money was left back. there were many semi-boosters i know personally that left after that change. then they decided that anyone who wanted a team could buy one instantaniously. there used to be a limited amount of teams, with a waiting list to buy one. the combination of many players quiting GLB, and too many teams has completely thinned out the players. its almost impossible for half the teams out there to even fill a roster. there are simply not enough players to fill all the teams. its making ppl including me struggle to keep running a team, and make us lose interest in the site. i have had a team or two since season 10, and it becoming to costly to keep a competitve team. i make players and boost them all. but without spending a ridiculous amount of money and making a full team yourself, you need other agents to sign with you. again, with the limited amount of players on the site, you cant all field a roster. its not because im not a good recruited, its simply because there are no players left to sign. eventually a huge portion of your agents are going to lose interest and leave. this site was amazing for years, but now has become a cash grab.

Rember when the amount of playing time was varible to how much Exp you got per game. Now everybody leveling up at the same rate kinda make it boring/lameeeeeeeeeeeeee
GLB definitely isn't coming to end.
Believe or not but the mAdmins have a gameplan.

it was a good change
having to manipulate depth charts for blowout games to get people XP sucked

Stop complaining---I took six months off the game entirely and kind of stopped playing much for close to two years---I came back and built a team in about a week. It's not that hard if you network and put in the work that needs to be done. There has been many positive changes to the game---most of the stuff you named, I actually think of as a positive.

Game is still salvageable.
But its a dog eat dog industry. No telling really how well the game will go or not from here. Depends on how they play it. Its pretty unique, and thats a plus. They just need to spend some money to get the word out, or trim the game to match the player base and settle.
So long as Bort wants the game to exist though, it exists. MMOs can linger on indefinitely with a handful of players if the owner is so inclined.

I really like this game, I think if it were advertised other people would too. I just happen to stumble across it last year. I do hope things pick up though, too many CPU teams.
As long as the Evil Empire and ILOF is around, GLB will be fine. Why is that you say? Worse comes to worse we'll buy them out and keep it going the right way
