having only stats count against playoff teams would be a HUGE step in the right direction.

MVP should get the reward...not the guy who finished 5th; this seems almost moronic to have to suggest something that has as much base logic as this!

the problem is that bort's formula gives a huge advantage to mediocre returners on bad teams. fix the formula and i'd bet 99% of us would agree with you. i know that i'm tired of seeing 1 player teams rack up MVPs. i saw a st mvp the other day that racked up an impressive 70+ TDs, until i looked and saw that all but 1 had been scored in 3 255+ blowout wins. 1 legit TD should not win an MVP.
