make an offensive preset called ''veer''. (all option plays, and inside hand offs) it would be like highschool. I do not care if this is liked, I just want some input.

I think it would be cool . the option is a hell of weapon and from the dc side of it i would like trying to defend it.

So +1

I think those rushing QBs could have another thing to run with other than scrambling. but then we would have to have an attribute for this skill.

This used to be on the NGTH ist. It appears that Mat took it off.

I'll leave the thread open for now...but keep in mind any form of the option is highly unlikely for the difficulty of coding, although i do agree a zone read or something would be pretty cool.

Isn't a option play just a longer version of the pitch play (as long as it only involves the QB and 1 other rusher... not like in college where the HB can pitch to a WR or a FB or even back to the QB)? If so, it could be simi-included into the QB rushing plays... even the shovel pass could be from this.

u could do the power nd speed option taking away the fb run option, or the zone read, it the defensive alingments nd gaps would have to b more customizable for a D-coordinator but its a great idea

I swear Bort said somewhere it would be too hard to code properly. It would either be way overpowered or terrible.

Id love it but pretty sure it cant be done.

I love the idea but know nothing about coding . They have enough on there plates now but if it can be done would be awesome .

not really. The option in almost every form is based on the ability to for the offense to not block 1 (or 2) defenders and "read" that player to decide whether the QB keeps or gives/pitches the ball to the RB.

I'm nearly certain you're right...just like i'm nearly certain it WAS on the NGTH list. But I'm sure it was removed for a reason so thats why I'm leaving it open even though It is unlikely at best.

thank you for that. I think this could add on to an already great game and make it better, or at least with more old-school style.
