It would be nice if threads that an admin has posted in were marked in some way (change the red circle to a different icon or change the color or something).

A thread like this one:

If catch/bort haven't posted in it then it isn't worth my read, if they did it is. This is done on many sites, one that comes to mind is battle.net's forums:

You'll see there is a blue "blizz" next to the icon when an admin has posted in the thread.

would just make it easier to find threads that have received an official response.

I like the idea, but foresee a lot of "there aren't any GLB Admin icons, they aren't poasting, they don't care" threads.

yeah that is true, but at least they would have some visual basis for their arguments.
