OK, i was just sitting here thinking about GLB(as i normally do on a monday night), when i came up with an idea. What if a DC and an OC wanted to SCRIM each other? Wouldn't a challenge between OC/DC be pretty easy to implement? It would just be a ghost team setup, with the OC/DC just plugging in their AI and setting the depth chart.

This would be an AWESOME mini game for the agents that make GLB run......THE COORDINATORS!!! This would be a great way to get agents interested in being OC/DC again, and might even spawn a whole new side game(revenue for GLB)

its 2am on a Monday...........but i think i am a GENIUS!!!!!!

Seems pretty much like what most of us already do.

and what you call OC/DC challenge I call find the easiest ways to confuse the line code as quick as possible.

it would still be fun

what worked in this challenge, and what worked in the actual SIM, would be different. BUT, the draw would be to figure out how to beat your opponent. I think it would encourage the "novice" to try to learn the AI system. Imagine if, all of a sudden, GLB had an influx of "confident" coordinators?

I take a stronger look at the experts of this game than the novices. The experts are what ruin this type of stuff because they just do shit over and over again in tons of different variations until the perfect it. That is good stuff for testers and what not when testing the sim out before it gets to us...bad for us playing the sim tho and even worse for THOSE NOVICES in that the guys who spend all day learning the sims tweaks and what not piss pound those poor guys.

fwiw...i wasn't a big fan of the insta scrims either for the fact that it creates stuff like this. This would make that even worse tho.

..................true. i guess i am still thinking about the "good ole'days" when everyone wanted to try to get better.......

but.... making an AI to beat CPU players, is different from making an AI to beat a "human" team. It would be more of a 1 vs 1 challenge. a "mini game" that would be HUGE in the offseason

wouldnt you rather run your team's O vs your team's D instead of using a "ghost team"?

Many of us would, but Bort hasn't figured out how to make that trick work yet.

well essentially, the only way this suggestion makes any sense is if you use the "ghost dots" you want to. So for your AI if you needed a rushing QB, passing QB, 2 power WRs, 4 speed WRs, 2 elusive backs. power back etc etc. The ghost team would need to have that or theres really no point so your AI is setup around those types of dots.

with that being said the ghost team would have to mimic your regular team, youd be doing the same thing as your team's O vs your team's D.

if he cant do that, he cant do this suggestion since theyre the exact same thing.
