There hasn't been many suggestions place up for vote, or implimented in awhile, this would help Bort and company get caught up and impliment the serious suggestions, that will actually help the game.

Also, maybe it will cut down on heat of the moment suggestions, and make the op's think more about what they want to suggest.

Nope. Limiting peoples ability to post, unless they've broken the rules, is a bad idea.

it might make some users actually put more than a second or two of thought into their suggestions rather than just vomiting out any thought that momentarily passes through their mind

Not sure how they would be able to restrict or place a posting limit in selective threads though.

This has been said NGTH, can't limit a person's ability to post unless of course they are banned.
