I have a power HB who keeps trying to run away from a tackle rather than running the guy over. He's on 100% power run style but he keeps getting "reads". Make a slider to just hit the hole you're assigned. He's a power back FFS, He's supposed to run people over, not try to turn it back around and figure out where else he can go.

I realize some of these it probably wouldn't matter because there was just a broken play from the get go. But I built a power back to attempt to run people over and get the extra yards or at least back to the line of scrimmage, not run from the defenders and attempt to be an elusive back.

who runs counter sweeps?

and holy shit who runs counter sweeps with a slow RB.

Well I'm not in charge of the game planning, but I just want my damn HB to hit the hole and keep going, not trying to "find" a hole

its not really a problem with your HB...or with the sim tbh.

But I would for sure try to get your OC to stop running those plays with your dot. especially since you're not casual. Honestly the counter from singleback big is one of the worst plays in GLB imo.

Using a powerback on a Counter is pretty . Agree with bigtisme, Talk to your OC. The play is designed to fake the one direction and cut back towards the other. To do that with a slow HB is not going to work.

Does he even have the agility to make that cut into the hole?
