Wondering if he has "Quick Release"? If so, then yea, this is bad. Should have dropped that one in the endzone 2-3 seconds sooner.

Here, the TE actually stops at the back of the end zone and waits for a few ticks, until the ball is in the air, at which point he decides it would be a great idea to keep going

I found a work-around... but hamercy! At the beginning it was all I could do not to beg the QB not to throw it to the %^#!!#^%$$ running out of the endzone, just waiting for the ball ("DONT THROW IT TO HIM DAMMIT"!)

But watch, it might go the other direction and all passes are thrown .5 short of the endzone, resulting in a FG attempt
