the way Cutblock works now, mainly the O-Line can cut block the D-Line when they are failing to hold a block.

a Cut block is usally a planned block and not performed as a "last ditch effort"

The SA should be a roll on if he performs one or not, if not than he takes his chances.

Also the SA should only be allowed for players on the line, that means no cut blocks on special teams plays.

Well plays on the line and on pulls, right?

I am no football maven but I thought cut blocks were primarily a pulling lineman thing????

+1 to this par for getting rid of cutblocks on STs.

meh on the rest of it. You are sorta right because lots of cut blocks are planned....but it can also be a last chance effort if its the only way to make the block.

not really.

It totally depends on the offense but lots of teams who use planned cut blocks do so on the backside so there are cutback lanes and to limit backside pursuit (all offenses are different but this is one of the more common ways).

from what I have seen, Cut Blocks are used both ways.
If a T looks to be beat around the outside by a DE, sometimes they will dive out in the Cut Block attempt.
Pulling Linemen will try them to push the DE towards the back corner and open the seam for the RB.

The silliness in the GLB Sim is the OLineman falling backwards in a Hold Block failure and then tossing out a Cut Block to chop the DLineman down.

^ +1 to the last part. If an OL is being pushed back, how can het get into position to throw a cut block?

Now why would you want to change cut block. Not like it's OP. If one was able to control when and how often the attempt was made, that might make it OP.
