Hey im glad and all about the free player thing but im just curious if we are going to have this free player with free boosts and everything then why is the custom EQ not free for those players as well?

From what I can see the Custom EQ still costs flex/rewards points to buy them.

dont your multis already get enough free stuff?

While the free player pay CEQ may seem a nice bait and switchy kinda gimmick, I think the game would be better served in the long run by having this CEQ also be free for the free player. Let the solo free player agent get into the game at the highest tiers, for which CEQ is required, and he would be more likely to pay to play when he grows up or can finagle Mommy and Daddy to buy him some flex.

As for the regular players to whom the free dot is just gravy, is 900 flex of CEQ so costly a bone to throw?

+1 and not just because I want free stuff but because it makes the Free Player the gracious gift and free sample advertisement it is without any hint of cheapskate gotchya to it.

Free players built good can get onto pro teams without CEQ, Pro isn't that tough to get into.

And they aren't going to get into WL anyway unless they are building perfectly. Or have connections. Or are someone's multi.

Then again, 8 dollars for a years worth of enjoyment isn't asking that much tbh

And I'm not sure where I seen the statistics or the exact numbers, but once someone makes a purchase (regardless the cost), it GREATLY increases their chance of making additional purchases.

That 8 dollars for an entire years of enjoyment is a very easy, very cheap carrot on a stick. If that 8 dollars for a year wasn't there, then the entry level becomes like 50-60 dollars for a year.

Not going to happen.
