It was long ago. Many things in the digital world start off accessible, then things like graphics, java, flash, and other eye candy come into play. Nothing against eye candy, as it keeps users engaged with the screen/product, just keep some underlying features behind it.
I had the opportunity to upgrade some CE today. The pop-up is accessible, so I cannot gripe, but wonder if a drop down box would not provide a smoother and faster interaction with that and similar things.
