I thought I had read this had been fixed but apparently nothing has been remedied.

What is the suggestion? What criteria would make you happy? if losing by 7 or less, on 4th down with 2 min or less, run a play?

With 3 timeouts is it more likely to succeed doing that in one down, or take the 3, kickoff, and hope to get the ball back again before the time runs out? In fact looking at your game, play by play, this is exactly what happened. Your team just couldn't move the ball down the field in time to score again. You stopped them from getting a first down after the kickoff, drove back but failed to get within range again for a field goal.

You can't set up casual AI to account for all situations and all team types and all opponents. It will never be perfect. But this is part of what you give up with casual. You hand off that decision making to an "AI" that makes decisions based on a general scenario.

If it's not working correctly, show them what should be changed. if you think you should always go for it on 4th down, with under 2 minutes with 3 TO's and inside the <whatever distance> then do that. But just posting a replay of a fieldgoal isn't really helping find a solution, or even showing that there is a systemic problem with how casual AI is setup.

So as is, -1. If you can show some reason for the change or that it's a systemic problem that isn't working for any team, i'll consider changing.

Here is my thread on the subject - updated with some clarification and a 3rd possible option.

It is a systemic problem, but it won't affect every team. It will only affect running teams who are losing and passing teams who are winning.
