I looked but couldn't find where this has been suggested before so here goes.

We all know that on GLB coalitions play a huge role in the GLB experience. whether you are a member of one or are getting beaten by the larger groups that can pool their resources together and share knowledge readily. while just looking through GLB there is no forum or thread where all of the coalitions are listed with the people that are running the groups.

My suggestion is for GLB to come up with a way to acknowledge coalitions. and then post either a forum or a link on Wiki where all the recognized coalitions and their Reps are listed. this would make it easier for new players to find out info about each group and would allow agents to actively evaluate all the possible coalitions that they could join.

It could be broken down to where each coaltion would post some information about themselves. they could even go on to post their bylaws or the rules for becoming a member of that group. this in theory could help new agents get involved with agents that they normally wouldn't be able to just from playing the game.

and before this gets flamed I know it isn't something super important. I know it is just something where it isn't a great need. I just think it could be useful and would also give the coalitions a little more publicity to help them grow. I personally would be willing to help get all the info together for this if it was something that GLB thinks could be useful.

also on the part where I said that GLB acknowledges the groups. that could be a stipualtion that a group had to have so many members, or a certain amount of teams or something of that nature to make sure that all groups listed were actually legitimate coalitions in the game.

what if you are not in a coalition, but are beating the larger groups that are them?

I am a member of a coalition though. The one I am a part of is ICE. Just a group of agents / team owners helping eachother. No "farm system" or top dawg teams, no one telling you where your dot is gonna play.

Like you said, it's not important issue. But isn't there a way for users to add to the Wiki themselves? If you want this, couldn't you do it yourself?

im in 2 coalition PFs, dont really get any players from them and both my teams win. Coalitions arent that great imo, therefor the owners dont need to be acknowledged by anyone not in their group.

The problem with this idea IMHO is that large coalitions have decent turnovers with agents going inactive or quitting GLB, teams disbanding or dropping down, etc.

It can be a pretty big pain simply keeping the teams list updated accurately for one large network.

The issue I see with this is the same as with 99.9% of the stuff in GLBWiki..... it would quickly become outdated and no one would put in the massive amount of work to keep it accurate.

The coalitions should not get any more preferential treatment over the independents then they currently do. They are already allowed to spam the forums and recruit for multiple teams in forums other than the TLFP forum. This would just hurt us little guys even more.

completely understood but I was thinking smaller scale. not listing all the teams in a group. just the group and the leaders of the group and maybe a paragraph or so explaining a little about the group.

Seems like an unnecessary suggestion. If you want a Wiki page, make a Wiki page. That's what everyone else does. That' why it's a Wiki. As for the other stuff: signature, avatar, profile note.
