Put a cap on how many shopping tokens can be purchased - 2 tokens every 10 days, or 8 tokens a season, or whatever.

Bort can sell tokens for flex, and agents have the option to buy tokens to try and tinker with older players that are otherwise just stagnant. A win / win situation.

Remember when we were going to be able to buy stuff like training equipment and other boosters with cash?

I think this would fall under "rich get richer" sort of thing. Thus probably ngth.

"Woo hoo! Let me use a shopping token so I can roll for a piece of equipment that I can't upgrade because I'm not earning any bonus tokens to go along with these shiny golden shopping tokens!"

Look - let's say you are in plateau and you have 4 fully upgraded pcs of AEQ. Shopping tokens do nothing but allow you a chance to roll for AEQ gear. If you get lucky and find a pc. you want to try you would sell a current pc. then buy and upgrade the new one.

Since you have to use some of the refunded BT's to buy the pc you will not be able to fully upgrade it - so the rich would get poorer in this case (not richer).

It is just an idea to add a little something for agents that are a bit bored with their plateau dots. Chances are you might not even get a pc. worth swapping for - lord knows my luck at rolling good pcs. pretty much sucks. But at least it offers some chance to do something to an otherwise boring dot.

Personally, I think you should be able to swap one piece of AEQ each preseason (similar to VAs), especially when sim changes happen.

When they gave us the AEQ reset a few seasons ago, I shifted from Avoid Fake % gear to Make Tackle% gear since Spin was the VA I was most worried about. A couple seasons later a buff to Juke changed that. It would be nice to be able to go back and fix it again.

I agree, there should be more flexibility in the AEQ throughout a career. Not just because of the variations in the Sim and Styles of play but also because players interests and teams make ups and strategies vary over time as well.

Being able to reset one AEQ per offseason would seen harmless and only able to make things more fun.

I wouldnt even make it a Token thing. Just a preseason reset.

That said something to dabble in during the season would be nice for the low dot count owners.

Note that also it is possible to change around basic EQ in the offseason for plateau players. A little more flexibility for AEQ would be welcome.

Some AEQ costs more than others.
BT can be exchanged for SP.
Someone can just buy thier way into a 4 max effective AEQ dot with lots of extra Skill points. That is buying your way out of crappy planning and building strategy. Flex should not be able to fix a bad build.
