On every play the sim has a list of the SAs that fired. When you are watching your players replay, you only see your SAs. If you have more than one player playing it reads like:

Change Direction
Swat Ball

From most of the descriptions we can figure out when it occurred.
I guess I've just never seen it because my dots aren't old enough. They own CEQ, but they're only sophomore level so their SAs won't go off that often. Maybe if something was put into the options to allow you to see your own dot's SAs, offense/defense SAs, or even by specific player, then maybe that would work.
This is a play where I think "Turn the Shoulder" worked, just because I can't see any other way he avoids the sack without it. I don't see any notification of the SA working though or any entry into the play:
