I find the idea of this to be really brilliant. If there were leagues like this I would fefinitely buy more flex/own a team since it would seem like there was a point to it.

There's nothing that stops anyone from partaking in these leagues, though. Scrimmage costs create some sunk flex cost as opposed to having an actual league where you wouldn't have that same effect.

Likewise I don't think you're going to see a company say "don't buy/use our product/service".
