WTF. Thats ridiculous.
Its not the same team, all the GMs left and half the roster is jacked up. it happened over a weekend to boot. Theres nothing reasonable in that.I'm not saying its not the same situation as before. I'm saying that its the same contract. I'm saying that it was never automatically extended. Its the same contract he signed before. He chose to sign a multiyear deal. There are risks involved with that. I'm not saying he's wrong in wanting to escape from the contract.
A non-GLB scenario.. If I take out a loan from a creditor and that creditor sells my loan to another creditor when I have another year of payments remaining , I'm still responsible for that year of payments even if its going to someone new. Its not considered a new loan.
He took the multiyear contract. He had a chance to leave and apparently missed it. I just don't see how he's claiming it was "automatically extended".
Of course this is all based on how you and me both interpreted his post.
Now, if his suggestion was to automatically reduce multi-year contracts to single year contracts upon a new team owner, that would be different.
