He stated this game is not being played in the way it is intended. This game is patterned after traditional American football. Not arena league nor lowest level HS football. It's pretty obvious this game was designed that way from day one. Players and teams promote through the leagues as they progress in "talent" (attributes/skills).

While this game is not "real" football it is based on real football.

The very heart of that entirely separate issue is that some positions aren't as fun as others. Players would rather play a QB than an offensive lineman. The problem is that only 1 QB can be on the field at a time, but there's 5 o-linemen. They only way to satisfy the demand for QBs and other fun positions is to increase the number of teams. Otherwise there's too many QBs and not enough teams. but again, that's a whole separate issue...

The idea of moving current teams from one area of the server to another has no effect on population issue. That's my counter argument. All of these alternate leagues are already happening. The teams already exist; the [players on those teams already exist. I'm just asking that they can be put someplace else.

Gee, it sure would be awfully nice of them to stop playing the game the way they want to play it, and instead play it the way the rest of us are... but that isn't going to happen.

This game has been undergoing contraction for many seasons now. The userbase has declined faster than Bort has wiped teams. These new teams you see are not new teams, but rather a few teams that have been recycled. My last count was Bort had deleted around 3000 teams. I haven't done the tally in at least several seasons.

As for the way this game is played...it is what it is. Ironman has been suggested, voted on, and been put on a backburner. You creating this thread will have absolutely no impact on when (or if) it is implemented. That is my point of contention. Buying leagues is on the NGTH list and ironman is on the long term "to do" list.

I'm saying, that what you are saying is the way I'm playing. You seem to think I'm in one of those other leagues, and I'm not. They are too much of a pain in the ass. They run through scrimmages on off days at any random hour. Game planning is miserable, and training/leveling is too far off from the league games.

I have 2 dots that are multiple seasons old, and I'll be starting a new one this season. I don't have any alternate style dots.

However, I freely admit, that if these alternate leagues weren't so much ass pain, I might be inclined to start another dot or two. There's no way I'd abandon my current dots after putting this much work into them.

I'm just trying to get across to you that the house has been eaten up by termites and you want to fix it by adding a spare bedroom. There are so many things that need to be done before even considering setting up new league types. We very well could be in the end of days period at this site.

Put yourself in DD and Bort's shoes. Would you be willing to implement two new league types based on someone posting that ^?

but still new users continue to buy recycled teams. I was on one of those teams this past season http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1831. If the recycled one weren't going out then the rate of contraction and solidarity would be happening much faster.

it still feels like you don't comprehend the words i type. No one cares about what got voted on and put on which burner. Iron man leagues are currently being played in at least 3 different form that I'm aware of... and probably more that I'm not. Buying separate server space for teams that already exist is not on the NGTH list, and even if it was, in cases like this it should be re-evaluated.

Right now, a team could request (for example) to be moved from Rookie League #5, to Rookie League #7. Depending on how busy Support was it may or may not happen. All I am suggesting is that if said team were to pay a fee of X amount of flex, that Support would have to move them in a timely manner.

I fail to see how this simple suggestion has turned into a 5 page debate.

that's a bad anology

i'm suggesting remodeling the shed out back with some tasty wood so that some of the termites would be inclined to leave the house.

This sounds like those lines you see at Cedar Point where you pay more you get to cut everyone else in the line and bypass them and go to the front. So I should wait longer to get something done unless I cough up more cash-sorry but pass and we need a fix with some leagues now as way to many CPUs and not enough human teams playing.

there is nothing being implemented. what are you even talking about?

the alternate leagues have implemented themselves. i don't know how to help you understand that. they are really happening. they use the current game code. they just set the depth chart differently. there is nothing to develop or implement.

it's just a matter of taking, say, K.C. PLAYMAKERS and moving them from Regional Pro Elite #1 to Regional Pro Elite #2.

that is all.

wtf is cedar point? and why are you trolling?

i know you didn't just jump into the last page of a 5 page 3 hour discussion.

you could have at least posted something to make it appear you had read the rest of the thread or at the very least had a real interest in the suggestion one way or the other

Cedar Point is a huge amusement park in Sandusky Ohio.If you want to cut ahead of people waiting in huge lines for a long time. You can pay more for your ticket and cut ahead of everyone else and move past all to the front of the line.
I did read all the pages and NGTH it dont make no sense as there are other things then this needing fixed right now.

I dont think its fair for some to pay support and others dont get better help from support so I say to this whole renting or buying Leagues ---5000000 Lets fix worse problems on GLB before making more.

If you dont like what others say about your suggestion you call them a troll .Grow up
