I think adding yards allowed to defender stats would give a better indication of a dot's performance on defense. Receptions allowed was a great addition, but it's hard to tell the overall effectiveness from that stat alone.

For passing you would simply add up the yards on each reception allowed. If they can track which receptions a dot allowed, then certainly the resulting yardage from each reception can be added up.
Rushing is a bit trickier, and I only meant the suggestion for pass yards allowed.

What about when a dot "allows" a one yard catch, and then the receiver breaks three tackles and goes for 90 yards? That first defensive dot gets 90 yards chalked up against him? That seems pretty misleading.
I don't think they keep track of that stat in any football , so maybe they should in dotball
