It's just bad luck that was called there.
Like anyone else has a "inside our 3, up by 1, under 2:00, and they've burned a timeout" input. Hell, who's to say they wouldn't have been just as likely to get dropped on an inside rush? He is right that Ds more often than not stack the middle at the opposing goal line.
