also love north american sports fans who don't think baseball/basketball/handegg athletes don't act to sell calls too.

How does it not? I'm a fan of the game, love playing it, know the rules, hate the diving which is why I only watch it during the world cup.

Baseball idk about selling, not gonna quote again but saw you said hit by pitch or walking to first before ump even calls it. Hardly ever see someone fake being hit, and walking to first despite being professionals, I'd like to see you judge a 90 mph pitch close to the strike zone.

Football meh not really basketball ya its almost as bad as soccer.

Not sure how baseball players do? I do think there is acting in handegg and basketball. But, I just don't think they act as much. When someone falls with out getting touched, then it gets a little silly. I have seen handegg punters do it though, makes me mad!

You've never seen baseball players act as if they were hit by a pitch when it didn't actually hit them?
Or start walking to first base after a potential ball four before the ump has made a call?

Yea, that pisses me off just as much as soccer players falling though

But, it just is not as common I guess.

Gart's totally right on this - players in every sport try to job the refs on a billion calls. Basketball players flop, they wave hands in the air to act like they got hit, they hold their hands up after touching a ball that goes out of bounds. Football players routinely hit the ground and then arm the ball forward, which usually the ref just grabs and puts back. Baseball catchers pull the mitt back into the plate right after the catch the ball, like EVERY pitch. "No, man, I was over HERE when I caught it, clearly a strike."

Pro athletes push the limits of the sport in every direction - stretch the rules until the ref calls foul, and stretch the ref to see if you get away with it.

I don't know what #3 was, but pretty cool. I could watch a few games of that.
