Oceania Pro League Week 4 Write Up

Balanced Game of the Week

OffTopica Miracle @ SWAT City Vigilantes

Call me a fan but SCV has me intrigued, so far this season they've made some major statements about who they are and OTM has shown they have their own stockpile of potential, this should definitely made for a good and competitive game.

Upset Watch Game of the Week

Gold Coast Vipers @ South Bend Rhinocopters

Definitely Plausible. Not one bit of disrespect intended to GCV but South Bend has got a lot of potential, if they can put it all together they could make a HUGE statement to their season this week. They have to curb the turnovers and get their offensive firing. Defensively they are going to have to do what no one seems to be able to do this season, that's keep GCV in check.

Brute Game of the Week

Easter Island Moai @ Axis: Pinoy All Stars 2

EIM has had some serious squeakers lately and Axis has been giving the crowd nothing but the very best of excitement. EIM has the opportunity to take a serious cut into the big time of the Alpha Conference. Both of these teams are more than likley playoff contenders, I definitely think this is going to be a physical and exciting game.

Oceania Pro Alpha Conference Tostito-Goal Game of the Week

Gold Coast Michelin Men @ The GlobeDotters: Indianapolis Gurupies

Outside of Deadwood, Indy hasn't played anyone worth mentioning and that includes Brantford who has been nothing but a serious disappointment with a very unlikely chance to appear in another one of my write-ups outside of being talked about in someone else's spotlight. GCMM has made statements this season and has shown us what type of team they are. By no means am I prepared to call GCMM a 'top tier' team in Alpha, but I would not dare call them a bottom feeder. They are, imo, a mid-grade team with the potential to make a serious upset splash in the playoffs. They'll get there and depending on what they do in this game, their road to being able to upset teams in the playoffs might be easier. Everyone called Indy an Alpha favorite, well, now it's time for them to prove it.

Oceania Pro Zeta PowerZone Game of the Week

Sumatra Seahawks @ San Diego Supa Chargers

This could be more of an 'upset watch' game, and in reality, I'm not sure if it's worthy of a 'gotw' but week 5 seems to be a lackluster week for Zeta. Here's the facts about this game, Sumatra is loaded with talent and quality staff, SDSC has potential but they are going to have to have a perfect game and force some turnovers in order to pull this off.

You know what they say about Potential Energy?

It goes down hill fast!

It's becoming a lot more obvious who the frauds of this league are.

the score of a few of these games, as well as the outcome of one in particular, really surprised me.
