The cornerback argument is usually that the better CBs don't have as many chances to earn stats, because quarterbacks won't throw into tight coverage.

My guess is that your guy is not only lower end of the conference, but lower end of your team, giving you more opportunities to get stats (tackles, PDs and INTs)
(plus... aggressive for INTs has been broken since season 18)

hey strom, where are you getting that my guy is "5th best" in the league in total stats...which sounds about right as I would say he is at least in the top 10 of all players in the league for CB's...if not top 5 or possibly even the best shutdown corner in the league...not too many will be better.

so where did you get that estimate ?

you have at least 3 CB's so I dont know which one your talking about too, but one of them had like 50% passes given up, my guy has around 33%...my guy has more PD's pics and tackles then almost every player in the league I bet...even taking out the 3 extra seasons he has on most guys we woudl still have literlaly hundreds more...its not even close...I would say my guy is top 10 in the league...so what are you basing this #100 rating on ? probably "effective" level right ? which is not actually how they effectively play on the field lol...

5th best by "All time rank" as described in the OP. Only an estimate by GLB's standards, not my own.

CB is my favorite position on GLB, I'm pretty proud of my players. I was talking about my oldest active CB:

When I was comparing my player to yours, I realized how disappointing my stats are. His PD % is way lower than I thought it would be, but I blame Catch and Bort for that one. I've been in the Bugs threads for 5 seasons now complaining about how they changed CB intercept points. I just made another post in Addicts earlier today (now yesterday?) about the terrible positioning they make when set to aggressive.

The stats show that my player has a slightly lower deflection percentage, but look at the interception percentage. 0.4% vs. 4.6%... what this shows is a difference in tactics. What I wanted to call your attention to was the bolded part... i.e. # of times targetted. Your player has been targeted significantly more times than my player (73% more).

yeah, aggressive coverage positioning is terribad

yea CB is also my favorite position and I feel I know it pretty well...I would say the system is fine, and my guy thrives how I have him built and set, so there isnt that much of a problem with the system, if you have a well built player...and yea my guy has been targetted more, but done more in the times targetted...way more...its not even close. my guy I would say is top 5....my team won a championship two seasons ago as well...so I dont think new york nightmares guys are #12, and I dont think my guy is #100 in actuality....not really an accurate list for actual play on the field.

interesting though I guess, I would like to see a list that goes by stats, showing who has the lowest percentage of passes given up, most tackles, pics, pd's ......that would be a more accurate showing of the best players, not just the highest "effective" level, which does not always translate into much on the field.
