You don't have to do what I say on these boards. From personal experience and advice I've gathered from good dot builders I've learned that's its better to bring up % pieces and higher cost SA's at end of trees than beginning tree SA's that are cheaper to bring up.
This is very true, but its a rule of thumb for most of your gear, and one i agree with, but typically one piece of gear has leeway for something cheap and useful to start with that you want to excel at. Thats usually a good start of piece till its more level effective to roll.
