Do try to grasp that a lot of what you are talking about can be addressed by either:

1) Fixing a build
2) Fixing eq
3) Fixing VAs.

How many returners are STILL rocking 3rd capped carrying vs. STOPs built to force fumbles? The existence of STOP dots is only going to increase, it's time for returners to adapt and stop bitching.

Yeah you could make players run in circles to make up for the failings of the Devs model.

Or you could ask them to change their Beta code to be a better simulation of what its supposed to be modeling.

I guess thats a coin toss to some people. Go Figure.

We are 23 seasons in. I'll just adjust my builds and not hold my breath on that happening.

Actually Bort is probably the most active updater of a MMO I have played. Changes are constantly forth coming and not small ones either. And he is so receptive of the players as to have added a mechanism to monitor their feed back.

Up till now I have only seen one other game where the Devs paid the slightest attention to the player base in any real way, and even that was lightyears less responsive than Bort.

Its the only reason I bother making suggestions at all. Most games I do not even bother with the forums.

I think the answers are obvious. If you pump speed, speed, and more speed as well as agility and neglect strength and carrying, you can expect your return man to be a fumbling machine.

To avoid fumbles, back off the speed and agility and add strength and carrying.

My guy has a rather high carry, strength is not bad. 60 maybe, I forget. Not low anyway.

And if you look at the NFL your returners tend not to be built like linebackers, so it doesnt make sense to fix the problem by requiring them to be so built.

60 is not "high" for a pro league player. I am close to capping my level 55 returner at 73 carrying. Sure I'd love to put all of those extra skill points into speed/agility, but coughing the ball up is something I want him to avoid.

It's all about trade offs and risk/reward.

ETA - my returner has fumbled twice all season in a semipro elite league.

60 strength is not that high, even for a returner. Considering that most offensive linemen are between 145-160 strength, in comparison 60 strength is roughly the equivalent of a girl scout.

Maybe if carrying is considerably high that would be enough. Probably need some combo of the two that is in the 140 range I would think.
