After a successful 4 team test run this season, the Sandlot League is looking for owners and agents to join our grand restart for season 23. Post your interest below or PM me and you will be invited to our private forum.

What is the Sandlot League?

The Sandlot League is variant of the Iron Man Football concept where roster limitation force players to play both sides of the ball. In Sandlot, we use 11 man rosters so every player on your roster has to play every down on Offense, Defense, and even Special Teams.

11 man rosters? How do you do that?

There are a couple of GLB rules in place that make it tricky, but not hard to accomplish. First, GLB requires all teams to have 40 players on their roster. So in addition to the 11 human players on your roster, you need to have 29 more CPU players. Second, each of the three Depth Charts (Offense, Defense, and Special Teams) must have at least 20 different players (human or CPU) or they will be reset before the game. To solve this, just give each human player a CPU backup.

But won't that cause CPU players to play in the game?

Setting the Sub-In/Sub-Out energy levels to 1/1 will keep the human starters in and the CPUs off the field.

What about OPP (Out of Position Penalty)?

One of the things that makes the Sandlot League unique is you have to consider OPP and Player Archetype carefully when putting together you team. Choosing 11 offensive players will make you team strong on offense but weak on defense. Not having a kicker or punter will hurt you special teams but having one could hurt your offense and defense.

Can I use players I already have? Or do I need to create new ones?

We will be starting fresh with rookie teams and 0 day old players for season 23, so no, you can't bring an already build player into the league.

Is Boosting and Custom Equipment (CE) allowed?

No. To keep costs down and promote league parity, Boosting and CE will not be allowed.

Ok, sound interesting. How do you play you games?

We operate similar to the League Underground in that all matchups happen in the form of Friendly Challenges.

Friendlies cost Flex, so how much would it cost for me to own a team?

Our target is to have about a 12 week regular season with a 4 week playoff. Including the 2 free friendlies each team is giving every season, the cost would be roughly 250-350 FP per season depending on how deep your team went into the playoffs.

This all sound great, but I really don't have time to own and run another team. Can I be involved as just a player?

Sure. Sandlot is open to everyone.

Great, what do I need to do?

Just post you interest below or PM me for an invite to our Private Forum.
