If there are say 2 competitive teams in a conference and they meet early on, a team could pretty much guarantee their spot in gold by ninja boosting. Then when the actual shuffle happened the season would pretty much be decided by who got lucky with scheduling and conference assignments and was able to hold off on boosting for the longest.
yeah I did consider that also, but I still think it would make the whole process a bit more interesting, and the likely gold teams wouldn't be such a sure thing ...and then going all the way in gold would be another matter entirely, depending on what eventuated for the teams to get there ...tactics and strategies for the duration of the season would be more challenging imo! ...and let's not forget that LSM boosted early and was criticised for it, but still went all the way in gold's first season, and RK done alright on his unboosted gold team recently, so it shouldn't be deemed a disaster, but rather a dilemma about what these teams should do in the process to get there, and then how they fare afterwards
